Speaker Bio
Professor Vanderlim is the creator of the transnasal implant technique, developed as an alternative to double zygomatic implant placement when greater implant anchorage is needed in certain cases, thus facilitating the solution. It is a simpler, more predictable alternative with less trauma and a lower possibility of treatment complications.
This revolutionary technique has gained prominence and respect throughout the clinical and scientific community, being the subject of lectures and scientific articles, book chapters, and a key topic at major international events held in various countries. There is a growing number of specialists worldwide who come to learn and understand the technique to use it in their daily clinical practice to treat their patients.
Recently, transnasal implants (Vanderlim Technique) were featured in the book "Advanced Zygomatic Implants," considered the "bible" of zygomatic implants, organized by Prof. Dr. Carlos Aparício, a global authority on the subject. An article prepared by specialists from around the world is currently in production, reporting the success of their cases and demonstrating the global reach of the developed technique.
Professor Vanderlim is a speaker for S.I.N. Implant System, Neodent, and Nobel Biocare, a postgraduate professor, an international lecturer, and specialized under Dr. Paulo Maló (Portugal) and Dr. Carlos Aparício (Spain), world authorities in ALL-ON-4 and zygomatic implants. He has taken courses in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, and Mexico. He also teaches a course on implant anchorage in atrophic maxillae, instructing dentists from Brazil, the United States, Latin America, and Europe. His role as a speaker contributes to the dissemination of innovative techniques and the continuous improvement of dental professionals worldwide.
He is the creator and organizer of the Transnasal Zygoma Residency, a practical course aimed at specialists, where all anchorage techniques for patients with bone atrophy without bone grafts are presented. More than 300 dentists from around the world have already participated in this course, which excellently combines theory and practice: in addition to the theoretical content, hands-on sessions on biomodels and demonstrative surgeries on real patients in the surgical center are performed to accelerate the learning curve of the techniques covered. This provides students with a unique and immersive learning experience in the most advanced implant dentistry techniques.
Professor Vanderlim is also the Director and Head Clinician of CIIPO, a leading dental clinic in southern Brazil. He is a specialist with over 30 years of experience and more than 30,000 implants placed. Every week, he receives patients from other cities, states, and countries who seek excellent and safe results or need to correct unsuccessful treatments performed by inexperienced and unknowledgeable dentists.
