Pikos Symposium 2025
This in-depth theoretical and hands-on workshop will be devoted to the transnasal and transsinusal technique.
When working with patients with moderate and severe atrophy, the all-on-4 technique often lacks the conditions - such as sufficient bone volume or quality, to achieve a good primary stability. The installation of four zygomatic implants may be limited in cases where the size of the zygomatic bone is insufficient for placing two zygomatic implants, especially in patients after injuries, failure zygomatic implantation, etc. As an alternative to the quadro-zygoma protocol, there is a technique of transnasal and transsinusal implants placement. These techniques are easier to learn, allow you to avoid complications associated with the Quadro Zygoma protocol, and also expand the possibilities for the rehabilitation of patients with severe maxillary atrophy, for whom the placing of four zygomatic implants is contraindicated or impossible. Workshop participants will place transnasal and transsinus implants on models under the supervision of Dr. Trokhalin.
