Bone grafts and bone substitutes are frequently employed in periodontal and bone regeneration procedures.

Recently, the carbonate apatite bone graft substitute Cytrans® Granules has demonstrated the potential to promote periodontal and bone regeneration to an extent comparable to, or even greater than, that achieved with other well-established grafting materials. Recent evidence has also indicated that the novel engineered resorbable bilayer membrane Cytrans® Elashield possesses excellent biocompatibility, stability, and clinical handling properties, making it an ideal material for GTR and GBR procedures.

Learning Objectives:

1. To present the biological basis and clinical rationale for the use of Cytrans® Granules and Cytrans® Elashield in periodontal and bone regenerative procedures

2. To provide hands-on training in the application of Cytrans® Granules and Cytrans® Elashield for such procedures
