Course Overview

Separator Line

The Full-Arch Implant Bootcamp at the Pikos Institute is an intensive three-day program designed to provide clinicians with a comprehensive understanding of full-arch implant rehabilitation, from diagnosis and treatment planning to surgical execution and prosthetic restoration. This course brings together leading experts to guide participants through the complete workflow required to successfully manage full-arch implant cases.

The program begins with the fundamental principles of patient evaluation and case selection, emphasizing the importance of understanding a patient’s medical history, anatomical considerations, CBCT interpretation, and bone quality and quantity. These elements are critical in identifying appropriate candidates for full-arch implant therapy and ensuring predictable outcomes.

Building on these foundations, participants will then explore prosthetically driven treatment planning, learning how to determine whether a patient is best suited for a fixed full-arch restoration or an implant-supported removable overdenture. Special emphasis will be placed on prosthetic considerations such as prosthetic space requirements, implant positioning, and long-term restorative stability.

The course will also review the essential armamentarium and clinical considerations necessary for full-arch procedures, helping clinicians prepare for the surgical phase with the appropriate instruments, components, and workflow strategies.

Participants will then move into the surgical principles of fixed full-arch rehabilitation, particularly in the mandible when adequate bone is available. This section will focus on implant positioning, achieving primary stability, and understanding the biomechanical factors that allow clinicians to predictably perform immediate loading.

Once primary stability is achieved, the course will demonstrate how to immediately load implants using Smart Denture Conversion, allowing clinicians to convert a conventional denture into a fixed provisional restoration at the time of surgery.

The final portion of the program will focus on implant-supported overdentures, addressing both the surgical and prosthetic principles involved in managing removable full-arch solutions. This section will also discuss patient management considerations, including oral and IV sedation, to enhance patient comfort and safety during full-arch procedures.

The course includes significant hands-on training to reinforce the concepts presented during the lectures. Day two will focus on fixed full-arch rehabilitation, including surgical implant placement and immediate loading using denture conversion techniques. Day three will emphasize implant-supported overdentures, allowing participants to gain practical experience with the surgical and prosthetic workflows associated with removable full-arch solutions.

By the end of this program, participants will gain a clear and practical understanding of how to evaluate, plan, and execute full-arch implant rehabilitation, integrating surgical precision with prosthetic-driven decision making for predictable clinical outcomes.

Note: This course was recently expanded from a 2-day to a 3-day format to provide deeper hands-on training across all three days.
