What You Will Learn

Participants will develop clinical mastery in remote anchorage implant solutions for the atrophic maxilla and mandible.
Case Selection & Treatment Planning
  • Diagnose and treatment plan full-arch cases, including: Radiographic interpretation (including CBCT), digital record-taking and facial scan integration, and pre-surgical planning (mockups, wax-ups, and surgical guide design).
  • Apply prosthetic fundamentals to achieve predictable esthetics, function, and biomechanics.
  • Differentiate between levels of alveolar atrophy (partially atrophic, moderately atrophic, fully edentulous, and severely resorbed ridges) and understand surgical and prosthetic implications for each condition.

Key Surgical Concepts

  • Cortical engagement principles
  • Implant trajectory planning using CBCT
  • Maximizing anterior-posterior spread
  • Managing cantilever forces in full-arch prosthetics
  • Immediate loading protocols
  • Prosthetic workflow integration
Prosthetic Concepts and Immediate Loading
  • Understand monolithic zirconia: proper design, vertical/horizontal dimensions.
  • Select and position multi-unit abutments for long-term prosthetic success.
  • Immediate prosthetic protocols (analog, digital, and hybrid workflows) and fast chairside conversion using NeoConvert techniques.
  • Address implant depth, abutment height, and bone reduction to optimize prosthetic fit.
  • Biomechanical considerations (implant design, placement strategies, and angulation for full-arch cases).
Practice Integration
  • Learn how to reduce chair time and increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Gain the confidence to implement these protocols immediately upon returning to your practice.
  • Discuss ethical and cultural considerations in live patient settings, including informed consent, international patient care, and safety protocols.
Management of Complications
  • Prevent prosthetic and surgical complications through sound principles.
  • Avoid re-dos by planning effectively and designing hygienic prostheses.
  • Learn strategies for identifying, managing, and correcting complications when they do occur.

The course focuses on remote anchorage non-zygomatic treatment solutions for severe maxillary resorption.

Live Course Topics

  • Full-Arch Diagnosis and treatment plan
  • CT Scan & 3D printed model evaluation
  • SmileCloud connectivity - AI-powered smile design and collaboration platform
  • Definition and principles of immediate loading
  • Pre-requisites for primary stability
  • Remote anchorage non-zygomatic approach overview
  • The importance of pre-prosthetic prep for the success of a full arch rehabilitation
  • Pre fab surgical prosthetic template
  • Restorative digital workflow: chair side prosthesis conversion, IOS + Exact (horizontal scanbody) and IOS + iCam (photogrammetry)
  • Clinician and Lab technician interaction
  • Recommendations & follow-ups post surgery
  • Clinical discussion post surgery – what went well, what should be done differently
  • Hands-on surgical and prosthetic steps conducted on model and 3D printed patient model
  • Direct clinical experience - 2 full-arch treatment per participant as a main surgeon and another 2 as an assistance.

Techniques Covered

This course emphasizes non-zygomatic remote anchorage techniques used to treat advanced full-arch cases.

Participants will gain experience in:

  • Pterygoid ImplantsEngagement of the pterygoid maxillary complex for posterior maxillary anchorage.
  • Trans-Sinus ImplantsStrategic implant placement through the sinus to achieve cortical stabilization.
  • Palatal Anchorage ImplantsUtilization of palatal cortical bone to improve anterior support and biomechanics.
  • Paranasal Implant SolutionsAlternative cortical anchorage options for severe anterior maxillary resorption.

These approaches allow clinicians to avoid sinus grafting and zygomatic implants in many cases.

Outcomes

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Diagnose complex full-arch implant cases
  • Plan remote anchorage treatment using CBCT
  • Perform pterygoid and trans-sinus implant placement
  • Perform palatal approach and para-nasal implant placement
  • Execute immediate loading protocols
  • Integrate surgical and prosthetic workflows

Clinicians leave with the confidence and clinical experience required to implement these techniques in their own practices.
